Blessing of the Hands

As a meaningful University Medical Center tradition, UVA Chaplaincy Team will be offering an interfaith blessing to honor you, our nurses and colleagues, during National Nurses Week.

To schedule a Blessing of the Hands for your team, please contact the Chaplaincy Team at CHAPLAINCY@uvahealth.org or by calling 434-924-2642.

You may also connect directly with your department’s Chaplain.

Priority for scheduling will be given to team huddles and staff meetings in order to reach as many team members as possible.  Individual requests will be completed based on availability.

Additional Opportunties:

Chaplains will be available to give Blessing of the Hands at the Nurses Walk for Wellness events on Thursday, May 7th at 12pm, Monday, May 11th at 12pm at Ortho Ivy, and Tuesday, May 12, at 11am at the Main Hospital.
