Alison Shamir is an Imposter Syndrome Expert, Author, International Speaker, Certified Coach & Media Contributor. Through her work, Alison empowers global audiences (23+ countries) with the knowledge, tools and methods grounded in neuroscience they need to understand, navigate and conquer Imposter Syndrome, fears and doubts. She is a former Technology Leader (16 years) turned Business Owner and combines both lived experience (having suffered debilitating Imposter Syndrome for 10 years in her previous career) and professional expertise to help her clients make transformative change. She has worked extensively across the medical and health sectors & understands the nuances, complexities and high pressures of our fast pace & demanding environments. Alison's first book - Conquer Your Imposter™ was released globally in April 2025 and hit the 3x Amazon best seller list across 3 categories within its first 2 weeks of release. When she is not working, Alison is a keen sportswoman who loves to travel, including here in the USA.

 

Rose Markey, MA, Senior Learning and Development Consultant

Rose is a Senior Learning and Development Consultant at UVA. Rose has 30+ years of experience in Human Resources in healthcare, as well as higher education. Her background includes recruitment, compensation, employee relations, corporate training programs, curriculum design, and classroom facilitation. Rose also serves as a leadership coach and is an active professional speaker. Rose is a Certified Dare to Lead™ facilitator based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown and has earned several professional certifications including Crucial Influence, Crucial Conversations, DiSC, Clifton Strengths, and Prosci Change Management.
