Student Placement
Are you a UVA Health employee currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program and are looking for a clinical rotation with a UVA preceptor? UVA Health has over 200 affiliations with nursing schools nationwide, offering a wide range of clinical experiences across various practice settings allowing you to explore and discover your true passion in nursing.
Important Information:
- Current affiliation agreement is required
- If no prior affiliation, it will take 6-8 weeks
- Schools can only request a student placement during the date ranges in the table below:

Student placements are not a guarantee and are matched by a tiered system:
- First Tier: UVA School of Nursing
- Second Tier: Piedmont Virginia Community College
- Third Tier: Employees of UVA Health enrolled in external programs
- Fourth Tier: Outside Schools
