Orientation consists of live classes and computer-based learning (CBL) modules.

Holiday Adjustments
To align with our Human Resources colleagues and the work/life balance of our new team members, NPDS adjusts Central Clinical Orientation to account for holiday weeks. There will be no Central Clinical Orientation on those Monday holidays. All portions of Central Clinical Orientation are shifted following the standard approach utilized by UVA Health Medical Center. Day 1 of orientation will begin on Tuesday for Monday Holiday weeks. This includes week 2 at Northridge Nursing Professional Development (Epic for Inpatient RNs will be held on Monday of week 2, so adjustments are required). Refer to the HR Orientation Dates document for clarity on orientation start dates. Special consideration and communication will occur regarding mid-week holidays.
