Professional Expectations

  • Arrive on time

  • Engagement and Participation expected

    • Cell phones should be on silent and tucked away

    • Time permitting, completion of Workday Modules may be possible.

Professional Appearance:  Health System Policy BEH-003: Professional Appearance 
  • Business casual or scrubs. Wear comfortable shoes.

  • Flip-flops or similar open-toed footwear are not appropriate.

  • NO jeans.

  • Scrubs or business casual attire required.

Fingernails: This section applies to team members who provide direct patient care, have patient contact, prepare items/products used by patients, prepare instruments for sterile procedures, prepare sterile pharmaceuticals, those who prepare/handle food, or those involved in cleaning patient care areas.
  • Refer to MCP-0290 Hand Hygiene Medical Center Policy and the Hand Hygiene Guideline about fingernails/dress code policy

    • Should be clean and appropriate for job duties.
    • Are to be kept natural, clean and ≤ 2mm long
    • Nail polish, if worn, must be in good condition (i.e. not peeling, chipping, or lifting)
    • Team members performing a surgical scrub, high level disinfection or sterilization may not wear nail polish
