What to Expect at Northridge Skills Days

Skills days at Northridge Nursing Professional Development are designed to facilitate competency form sign offs. This standardized approach ensures institutional standards are maintained. Learners will be divided into groups and will cover information such as:

• Infection Prevention & Control
• Cardiac Playground
• Wound Care
• Sharps Safety
• POCT QC and Specimen Labeling
• Aspiration, Oxygen, Suctioning
• Vitals
• Medication Administration
• Hospital acquired infections, Chlorhexidine Treatment (bathing)
• Capillary Sticks

Please wear scrubs and comfortable shoes for participation in the skills day events.
