HR Degree Verification Process FAQs
HR Degree Verification Process
Congratulations on your new degree! Below are your next steps to document this accomplishment and validate it through the standard Human Resources requirements. This process is for RN to BSN and RN to MSN program completions.
Step 1: To start the process, you will need to update your education in Workday by following this Workday job aid. Enter your new degree no sooner than two weeks after your graduation date so that your degree is conferred and available from your school. This will kick off the verification process and your manager will receive a notification that this was submitted.
Note: Please add as much information as possible, i.e. Degree received yes/no, school and last year attended.
Step 2: HR Talent Support uses the external vendor Student Clearinghouse to verify the new degree with the school.
As an alternative process, HR Talent Support may us Applicant Insight. HR will notify you via email to watch for an email from Applicant Insight to grant permission to complete the degree verification. Please be aware that this email may end up in your “spam” folder, and needs to be answered within a few days of receiving it.
Step 3: Celebrate!
Consider becoming a mentor in the RN Degree Mentorship program to support a colleague through their academic journey. Additionally, if you are a RN Clinician 2, consider reviewing the Clinical Career Ladder behaviors to assess how you may be demonstrating next level of behaviors, and what steps you could take to prepare yourself to apply for advancement.
Step 4: Confirm in 4-6 weeks that your new degree is displayed in your Workday profile.
