I'm Certified! Now What?

Congratulations on achieving your professional board certification and joining the team of UVA Certified RNs!

1. Celebrate your achievement! Share with your manager and team so they can celebrate with you.
2. Update your certification information in Workday and provide your manager with a copy of your certification confirmation. 
3. If you chose reimbursement as your funding source and have not yet submitted your information, submit a reimbursement request in Workday.  You will need your receipt and test results to include as attachments.  Click here for information on the process.
4. Click here to contact Nursing Professional Governance Office to request a Certified RN badge holder and so that we can recognize you in an upcoming Thursday Blast! 
5. Ask your manager about updating your team’s certification recognition boards.
6. Make a plan now on how to maintain your certification! Review the timeline and requirements, which are unique to each professional board certification. Contact hours are available through a variety of UVA resources.
