Patient Care Technician - Training

This PCT in-person class offering is designed to support knowledge and skill development to assistive personnel to support clear scope of practice, and competency standards.

Training occurs at Northridge Medical Park and Parking is at the Korean Community Church located at 645 Kirtley Lane

 

All INPATIENT Certified Nursing Assistants, Emergency Medical Technicians, Emergency Department Technicians, Nursing Students, Military Corpsmen/Medics hired under the PCT job profile are required to complete PCT Training.

For new hires, enrollment in this training is recommended to be in the last 2 weeks of orientation

 

Team members transitioning into the PCT job profile on July 5, 2026, have until January 1, 2027 to complete this training.

 

PLEASE be certain to enroll in BOTH

Patient Care Technician (PCT) Training: Session A AND Session B.

Both sessions must be completed to meet requirements of the PCT job profile.

Previous prerequisite modules are no longer required for class enrollment.

ENROLLMENT IN SESSION A AND SESSION B MODULES ARE INDEPENDANT OF EACH OTHER

It is HIGHLY recommended that learners' complete session A prior to session B as content builds on each other and complexity increases.
